Looking Ahead: February 7 & 8, 2026 Seminar Weekend with René Izquierdo

We’re excited to welcome René Izquierdo as our guest ensemble conductor for the Edmonton Guitar Seminar, February 7-8, 2026!

René is Professor of Guitar at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and an internationally acclaimed guitarist, celebrated for his artistry and for being a passionate, inspiring instructor. Each summer, he also leads the CaminoArts Workshop reneizquierdoguitar.com/international-workshops in Spain, an international gathering of guitarists from around the world.

We are truly fortunate to have him with us here in Edmonton—this is a weekend not to be missed!

We are excited to announce that we’ll be hosting an intimate concert and social event with René Izquierdo on Friday, February 6.

Seminar Registrations will receive reduced admission to the concert.

September Seminar at Strawberry Creek Lodge

What a wonderful weekend we shared at Strawberry Creek Lodge with Natasha Pashchenko from Victoria! Natasha led us through fresh new ensemble pieces that brought everyone together. Our casual evening concert was a special treat, and featured an impromptu duet by Marsello and Natasha—a performance that left us all impressed.

As always, the food at Strawberry Creek Lodge was fabulous—huge thanks to Adrienne, Arturo, and their team for looking after us so well. And a special shoutout to Block 1912 for their generous donation of snacks and treats. You made the weekend even sweeter!

While our focus is on adult education, our broader vision is to bring classical guitar to a wider audience—building bridges between players, teachers, and music lovers in both intimate and public spaces.
