A Remarkable Weekend

February 2026 with René Izquierdo

Four seminars.

Two years of growth.

A community of dedicated guitarists committed to deeper study and collaboration.

As we move ahead, we continue shaping thoughtful seminar experiences rooted in education, artistry, and connection.

Edmonton Guitar Seminar

Launched in September 2024 by Marsello Avilez, the Edmonton Guitar Seminar has developed into a solid and growing community of classical guitarists — all ages, all levels.

Across four seminars, we have gathered for ensemble playing, collaborative learning, and shared musical exploration.

We were privileged to welcome Natasha Pashchenko in September 2025 and René Izquierdo in February 2026, whose guidance and artistry brought our year to a meaningful close.

As we complete this year’s seminars, it feels like the right moment to pause and prepare for the year ahead.

Across four weekend gatherings, we have connected with guitarists in Edmonton and beyond — from British Columbia to Ontario — and continue to reflect on what brings musicians together in this way.

The Edmonton Social Guitar Club, which emerged from our February 2025 seminar, continues to meet weekly, offering a welcoming space where players of all levels can gather and share music.

We are also cultivating relationships across Canada and internationally, gradually building a wider network of classical guitar collaborators and enthusiasts.

As we look ahead, we are encouraged by the partnerships forming and by the growing community of guitarists and supporters surrounding the Seminar.
